For years and years now, Chrono Trigger fans have waited patiently (and some have waited impatinetly) for a sequel for Chrono trigger to be released. And for a while, it appeared that Chrono Trigger would never get the sequel it deserved. Then, SquareSoft announced that they would make a sequel to Chrono Trigger called Chrono Cross. Here is my complete review to the demo version (NOTE: many changes will be added to final version)

GRAPHICS 10/10 The graphics are wonderful and colorful, just like the original game. The walking view is fully 2D, but when you enter a battle, the screen shifts to a 3D view. Awesome magical effects and the great graphics of the Techs highlight the wonderful battles in the game. In world map, there is lots of detail, but sometimes it is difficult to find what you are looking for since the graphics are so small. Despite this one minor gripe, the graphics on the game are sensational and represnt some of the best SquareSoft thas created (and thats saying a lot!!!)

CONTROL 10/10 The control in this game is fantastic as well. Every command inputs on the first chance, and the Techs are easy to perform. I have found no problem with the control in this game whatsoever

GAMEPLAY 10/10 The highlight of Chrono trigger was definetly the vast amount of gameplay options it offered, especially the Techs. For those who haven't played the first game, Techs are special attacks that can be performed individually (Single Techs) or can be combined by two or three people who have knowledge of the tech. While there aren't many tech options in the demo, the techs you can perform are still pretty cool. I can't wait for the final version to come out!!!

BAD POINT I just want to mention that Chrono and his allies from the first game are not in the demo and probably won't be in the final version as well. too bad.

FUN FACTOR 9/10 The demo is just a glance of the final version, and if it's any indication, the patience of the Chrono Trigger fans will be rewarded in a big way!!!!
